The beginning of spring has become one of my favorite times of year. It's because I live in a place where spring starts to arrive in the form of crocuses and small buds on dormant trees. Weeds start to pop up and every once in a while you will see the sun. An amazing sight, from dead to alive, things start to bloom.
I love these spring branches, and I was just thrilled to see them at Trader Joe's. I had to scoop some for me (and my mama too). They are the right touch of drama for my mantle and fit perfectly in one of my large blue mason jars.
As you can see, I haven't yet painted my mantle. Something is holding me back. I really want a new mirror for above the fireplace. I was thinking about one of these:
Both are priced great. I'm thinking one of these could hold me over until I find something spectacular. What do you think?
I like the oval ... it will complement the details of the mantle ... the other might fight a bit with those details ... eh?
ReplyDeleteI went to Target and checked out the pretty one with the details. It is a bit small. But has those pretty details like the fireplace as you said. The other one is large and round (just a bad photo of it). I should probably buy both and try them. Thanks Maggie for your feedback!
